Protest Against Corruption Continues, Says Maoist Centre Chairman

Kanchanpur: Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has reiterated his party's commitment to intensifying protests against corruption and advocating for good governance.

Speaking at an anti-corruption assembly organized in Punarbas, Kanchanpur, on Saturday, Prachanda highlighted the efforts made during his 18-month tenure as Prime Minister to combat corruption on a national scale. He emphasized that his government initiated various campaigns, including action against exploitative lending practices, and facilitated significant agreements with India on energy cooperation and transit transport. Additionally, he underscored the inclusion of migrant workers in Nepal's social security fund during his leadership.

The Maoist Centre Chairman called for unity among party cadres across the country, asserting that the party's strength is pivotal for ensuring good governance and driving national development. Prachanda expressed confidence that a stronger Maoist Centre would lead to expedited progress in governance and infrastructure development in Nepal.
